- Policy and protocol development.

Occupational physician consulting services can be contracted directly to employers or provided as part of an overall health delivery model, supported by our clinic based medical practitioners who all have occupational health expertise. The medical and allied health team provides primary treatment services, injury management, medical assessments and fitness testing across the medical clinics, with clinical support provided by an occupational physician as required.
Our senior occupational physicians manage strategic advice and policy development, such as establishing medical assessment protocols or defining health surveillance requirements. Site based work, client liaison, and management of difficult workers’ compensation claims are also managed under this portfolio.
The occupational physician plays a key role in providing clinical support and advice to treating medical practitioners, liaising with key parties and ensuring that work place strategies are safely and effectively implemented. Development of a proactive injury management policy is also key to the success of the process, along with doctor education, onsite training and supervisor support, and working closely with allied health staff to facilitate safe and productive return to work.
