Corporate Health Profile and Reports

Where a number of people have completed a detailed health assessment, a statistical report can be developed to assist in the identification and implementation of health initiatives. The report would include, for example:

  • Summary of health findings.
  • Normative data.
  • Key areas of risk.
  • Options for health intervention strategies.

Onsite Services

Prime offers a number of site based or visiting services including dietician consults, fitness classes and physiotherapy.

All programs offer the option of early intervention and can reduce injury and illness rates. Employees can receive advice and treatment in the very early stages of a musculoskeletal complaint often negating the development of a more serious injury and before a compensation claim is necessarily registered. Staff will not lose time from work travelling to and from appointments and can seek information from an on-site professional who understands the work demands and injury policy of the Company.

Education Seminars

Prime has a comprehensive network of health professionals, who can deliver the highest quality of monthly seminars and presentations. In addition to Exercise Physiologists, our network of professionals ranges from general practitioners, nutritionists, naturopaths and physiotherapists, to nurses and cardiologists. Where appropriate, presentations are coordinated with health initiatives for greater exposure, impact and effect.

Sample seminars include:

  • Improving your Cardiovascular Risk
  • Stress Management in the Workplace
  • Nutrition for Better Health
  • Avoiding Skin Cancer
  • Gender Health
  • Health and Fitness

Ergonomic Work Station Assessments

Ergonomic assessments are conducted for office based employees particularly those who use a computer. Musculoskeletal anomalies resulting from poor work postures and badly designed workstations can affect employees work performance and productivity and ultimately result in a compensation claim.

The workers history is taken prior to examination of the workstation and the employee. Examination of the workstation includes analysis of the desk, chair, keyboard, phone, computer and any other equipment used at the workstation. During the assessment, the worker is educated regarding ideal ergonomics and posture and prescribed simple preventative exercises such as stretches.

Manual Handling Training, Prevention & Safety Education

Worker education is based on job specific manual handling risks. Education seminars target specific duties and tasks where there is potential for injury. Most seminars (depending on numbers) involve a theoretical presentation and then practical demonstration in the work place.

Following training, we recommend a follow up session whereby the Physiotherapist visits the workplace to view the work practices and ensure that the training is taken on board. This allows the workers opportunity to ask any questions or solve any problems they may be experiencing in the application of the new work practices.
